Of those who relied on Facebook as a main or only source of news, the majority of those who voted in the American Presidential Election will have voted for Hillary Clinton, and the majority of those who voted in the British EU referendum will have voted Remain.
Donald Trump won because the nomination of Hillary Clinton so offended areas strikingly similar to those which, when told to consider the benefits of EU membership, compared and contrasted their economic position in 1972 with their economic position in 2016, and duly took their first offer of political influence in almost as long.
